In our home we try to eat organic as much as possible, we use non toxic household cleaners, bath soap and hand soap. So naturally, I want the same quality in hair care products for my kiddos, but that has been a challenge. I was a hair stylist for many years and I have always had a slew of products for myself but I could never find a quality hair care line for kids. I was beyond excited to see Target carrying SoCozy because they meet my high standards for the kids at an affordable price. If you are not familiar with SoCozy, let me give you a quick run down. SoCozy is salon quality hair care for kids that contain no Parabens, Sulfates, Phthalates, Synthetic Color, or Propylene Glycol and is free of Gluten, Wheat, Peanuts and Tree Nuts. With that being said, I felt completely comfortable stocking up on all their new Hush line products. This line is incredibly gentile which is perfect for all three of my kids. I love that I have found a hair care line that fits all the kids needs.
Brayden gets a 5:45am wakeup call for school, so to say we are tired in the morning is a understatement. We are always rushing around to catch the bus in time. It has always been a challenge to get his hair looking like he did not just stick his finger in a light socket so the sensitive styling foam is perfect for him. It is a lightweight mousse that holds his hair in place but keeps it looking soft with no buildup. Brayden has thick and somewhat curly hair so I am impressed that the sensitive hair care line works as well as it does on his thick hair. He is also very sensitive to smells, so everytime I try to gel his hair in the morning he flips out and complains about the smell and not to mention the gooey texture of the gels and balms we were used to. Thankfully we have one less battle to fight in the morning thanks to the Sensitive Styling Foam. The texture is light and glides on his hair easily and there is a very light pleasant smell that even the most sensitive nose likes. Win!
Then we have McKinley who is 3 going on 30 so you know she could not wait to get her hands on some styling products to be like mom. Unlike Brayden, McKinley has fine wavy hair that is always a tangled mess in the morning. We have added the Sensitive Detangler to our after bath routine and she has been waking up with smooth and easy to comb hair. No more morning tears from McKinley from me tugging at the brush! This Ultra-Gentile Leave- In is so lightweight and moisturizes the hair without weighing it down. McKinley is a “big girl” now so she puts it on all by herself.
Then we have my littlest Skye, who is just the cutest little thing. Brayden and McKinley did not have cradle cap but she does, so this has been a new experience for me. I started applying the Sensitive Scalp Serum to her head to help reduce the dry flakes and I am happy to say, I am starting to see a big difference. It is a non-greasy, leave in formula that helps normalize sebum production to restore moisture balance. I just add a little to her scalp after bath time so it could not be easier!
I wash all the kids hair with the Hush Sensitive 2 in 1 Soothing Shampoo + Conditioner. It is so gentle that I am comfortable using it on all three. Like all SoCozy products, “no nasties ever”. My favorite part about this purifying cleanser is the attachment brush. It gently lifts away dirt and oil leaving the scalp perfectly balanced and clear.
