There is no denying my obsession for indoor houseplants. When I go to the local hardware store to pick up something for the house, 9 out of 10 times I leave with a plant as well. That is why my home is starting to look more and more like the actual garden center. Lucky for me, having indoor plants is on trend for 2017! I love filling my home with plants because they are beautiful to look at and they purify the air. I am narrowing down my favorite houseplants so that you can be on trend this spring and find the perfect plant for your home!
String Of Pearls
This creeping succulent is one of my favorites right now. I am really into succulents because they are low maintenance and unique to look at. This plant would look great in a hanging basket or potted and placed on a shelf draping over the edge. I like mixing different types of plants in a space because it adds texture and is visually appealing to look at. Having a potted floor plant and then having The String Of Pearls houseplant on a nearby shelf would look amazing!

Fiddle Leaf Fig
There are so many reasons to love the Fiddle Leaf Fig. This plant is perfect for any corner of your home because it grows tall and upright. That means it will work in any size space because it is not bushy, but a tall structural plant. Perfect for a dorm, apartment, condo or house. The big and bold green leaves will definitely make a statement in your home. I personally like The Fiddle Leaf Fig paired with neutral walls and furnishings. I think light and natural colors with green plants make the perfect combo, you cant go wrong!

Tropical plants are all the rage right now and I for one am all for it! Tropical prints are popping up everywhere, from throw pillows, wall paper and art. I think adding a big tropical plant to a interior space is a lovely addition and this one is my favorite. Also known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, the large split leaves develop over time and are a great statement piece.

I have had this plant in my home for years because I love the way it looks and it is very low maintenance. The long vertical leaves make it the perfect plant to put in a corner and it can fit in any size space. The Snake Plant is known as one of the best plants to improve indoor air quality. The Snake Plant absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen at night which would make it a great plant to put in your bedroom to get a extra oxygen boost!
